Job Description:

  • Provides  first level EMR (SuccessEHS) and EDR (MediaDent) support and facilitates tracking, documenting, and problem resolution for EMR/EDR help desk requests
  • Develop and update regulatory reporting including, but not limited to, Meaningful Use, PCMH, Quality Improvement and Compliance/Regulatory/Accreditation reports

  • Participates in EMR-related interface design discussions and carries out system development and general maintenance processes

  • Supports interfaces between EMR and other vendors, such as LabCorp, area hospitals HIEs and NJIIS

  • Identifies opportunities for system enhancements that would improve practice workflows, methods, and procedures

  • Serves as a liaison with operations, clinical and administration staff to ensure successful implementation and on-going performance of the system

  • Solicits feedback and ensures appropriateness of the system configuration and ongoing modifications

  • Assists in training and educating users on system  functionality and capability

  • Performs in depth analysis of EMR workflows, data collection

  • Analyzes/reviews and tests each release and communicates needed changes to vendor before users are upgraded to the latest version

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Health Information Management or similar field and/or equivalent work experience required.

  • A minimum of one year experience required

  • Expertise in various report writing solutions such as, but not limited to, Business Objects, Crystal Reports

  • Experience with electronic health records, health care data, Microsoft Excel

  • Strong documentation skills, effective problem solving skills, and self-direction/initiative

  • Commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction

  • Support and troubleshooting experience

  • Knowledge of healthcare clinical systems

  • Ability to quickly analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
