Experience and Skills:
The ideal candidate/applicant will possess the following:
o Enthusiasm for promoting children’s oral health
o Strong organization skills and attention to detail
o Ability to work independently
o Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); public speaking
o Experience providing oral health education for audiences in a
school or community-based setting
Reliable transportation is necessary. The candidate will travel to
schools and identified community organizations to conduct education
programs and distribute program supplies. Candidate must also attend
2 statewide meetings per year. Candidate should be able to lift 30
lbs. Dental hygienists with volunteer experience are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will be asked to present a brief tooth brushing
demonstration for school aged children as part of the interview process.
