Job Description:

Healthcare Recruiter

Responsible for all recruitment of health care providers, clinical staff and non-clinical staff. Works with CEO, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Human Resources to determine recruitment goals. Maintains constant sources of information relating to new candidate contacts, and takes appropriate and timely measures to recruit qualified candidates. Identifies, develops and implements targeted strategies to recruit targeted candidates. Maintains an open line of communications with all current staff and seeks input on all aspects of recruiting.

Establishes procedures to ensure effective recruitment activities. Investigates all leads for candidates. Maintains and updates all recruiting tools including the organization’s Careers website, applicant tracking system and internet job boards. Maintains daily workforce planning document identifying current and planned recruitment efforts. Produces routine metrics and reports on recruitment/staffing.

Coordinates and manages select contingency recruitment agencies and temporary agencies. Acts as a liaison with technical schools, medical schools and nursing programs. Frequently represents the organization at job fairs.

Coordinates candidate interview schedules. Ensures proper documentation and selection actions are completed as required. Also ensures legal and regulatory requirements for pre-employment and employment processes are maintained. Sets realistic timetables for closing recruitment negotiations. Prepares offer letters. Ensures processing of background checks, verifies references and credentials in accordance with rigorous HRSA credentialing requirements. Schedules pre-employment physical examinations. Facilitates onboarding of new hires in conjunction with the new hire’s department.


Experience and Skills:

This position requires knowledge of the healthcare industry as well as excellent time management and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to meeting organizational goals are paramount. Knowledge of primary care is a plus.

Advanced level of candidate sourcing with traditional and non-traditional methods with experience utilizing the internet/social media for candidate recruitment.

Proficient use of (intermediate level or above) HRIS for candidate tracking, data integrity and report analysis.

Bachelor's degree in related discipline with a minimum of five (5) years of current healthcare HR Recruitment experience.

Advanced level of candidate sourcing with traditional and non-traditional methods, including experience utilizing the internet/social media for candidate recruitment.

HR experience should include recruitment, state and federal employment law, and related HRIS/Applicant Tracking administration, process and compliance. Exposure to employee relations, compensation and benefits practices is a plus.
