Job Description:

Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers, Inc. is seeking a talented Insurance Enrollment Navigator to step into our culturally diverse and fast-paced facility!

Summary: The Insurance Enrollment Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Insurance Enrollment Navigators outreach, education and enrollment efforts for currently uninsured, underserved and hard-to-reach-patient populations and to inform them and assist with the enrollment process through the ACA. 

 

POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for coordinating the Navigator program with SJFMC outreach team, marketing, front desk operation managers, the navigators and community partners to reach the target population.

  • Responsible for supervision of End-to-end Assistance- Help with completing the application and understanding eligibility rules, selecting a QHP and understanding how to compare plans, enrolling in the QHP and understanding the need to pay premiums, and resolving any remaining issues such as needing providing documentation to maintain eligibility or any enrollment issues with the health insurance companies.

  • The Coordinator will be responsible for attending mandatory grantee meetings and will assist in the development and submission of all reports in a timely manner as required by the State.
  • The Coordinator will also work in consort with the front desk managers to ensure program efficiency, coordination, and data collection.
  • The coordinator will also be available to provide hands-on assistance on location and in the community.
  • Other duties as assigned or as needed to support organizational goals

Experience and Skills:

 

  • Medical and Insurance terminology required.

  • Education: BA/BS Required 

  • Experience: Two (2) years of directly related work experience in healthcare

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish or Creole
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent Interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Knowledge of working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Systems.

  • Ability to apply solution based thinking and solve difficult problems with creative solutions.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle high volume and a fast pace.

  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
