Pediatric Medicine Department Director 

Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers, Inc. is seeking a Pediatric Medicine Department Director  to facilitate the overall Internal Medicine clinical vision of our culturally diverse, mission driven organization. The Pediatric Medicine Department Director will be responsible for providing clinical direction to Staff Pediatric Physicians and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners as well as personally providing direct care to SJFMC patients. The Pediatric Medicine Department Director will act as the driving force for development and implementation of programs that support and improve the overall mission and business strategy of a fast-paced, multi-location premier primary healthcare organization ranging throughout Southern New Jersey.

Hours: We offer flexible schedules with general daytime hours Monday - Friday, up to 2 evenings per week, and rotating Saturdays (1/2 days)

 

Experience and Skills:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited school of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine required
  • Board Certified with an active, unrestricted NJ License
  • Advanced training or equivalent experience in medical management, healthcare law or quality improvement; coursework in physician executive leadership and management training (MBA or MHA) is strongly preferred.
  • Current knowledge and understanding of issues related to health centers, regulatory standards and healthcare laws and regulations
  • Substantial clinical experience in a primary care center is strongly preferred
  • Valid NJ medical license, CDS,DEA, and CPR
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively at the highest levels of clinical and business environments
  • Superior interpersonal skills, communications skills and financial aptitude
